THE DIFFERENCE ENGINE - Captioning

Shoot Festival is trialling making all of the performances in our Performance: In Bloom and Performance Programme D/deaf accessible using Talking Bird’s The Difference Engine to offer you a captioning service.
The Difference Engine is a free downloadable app that sends discreet Captions directly to your smart phones. To download the app, please follow the instructions here.

At both Belgrade Theatre (4-5th April) and Shop Front Theatre (6th April) there will be a member of Shoot Festivals there to assist you in setting up your smart phone with The Difference Engine before the performances begin. Please ask the venue staff, or any of Shoot Festivals staff and they will be able to guide you towards our Difference Engine Assistants.

We encourage you to bring your own devices, but we will have a limited amount of smart phones available for you to use for the performances if you require. These will be handed out on a first come first served basis and will be available from our Difference Engine Assistants
