SHOOT FESTIVAL 2022 | ARTISTS
At the heart of our two-week 2022 festival was a programme of free and ticketed events and activities. Shoot Festival launched on 23rd April with free music on our Sound Stage at The Bull Yard. You could also enjoy an eclectic mix of theatre, poetry, comedy and spoken word with our free Performance Programme at The Shop Front Theatre. All activities were presented against the backdrop of our fantastic Outdoor Arts programme, an exhibition and a series of workshops.

GEMMA JONES presents REMEMBER, REMEMBERING, TRYING TO REMEMBER
A durational live art piece that explores materiality, care and ableism.

This rhyming, spellbinding sensory show-stopper extravaganza is suitable for ages 3 - 6.

Lauren and Izzy’s autobiographical story of two teenage girls and their journey through state and private education.

In this sketch show, the Sri Lankan born comedian tries to figure out whether his name is Luke or Vishal and if his lunch box is cool or not.

Storytelling piece which tackles issues around faith and identity.

Meet Dee, Craig, Amber and Freya. Follow the group as they grapple with queerness, their parents and what to eat for dinner.
HOLLY CLARK presents FLAPPY
Holly, a dyspraxic living in this neurotypical world. Expect joy, frustration and some exaggerated arm movements.

In 1947 10,000 Egba women marched to demand for the removal of colonial taxation. After several years of strikes and protests, this Nigerian feminist movement won an amazing victory.
GAMBLE by Hannah Walker & Rosa Postlethwaite
This autobiographical urgent multimedia theatre/live art show depicts Hannah’s experiences of being in a relationship with a recovering online gambling addict.

Hip hop and electronic UK bass inspired beats with hypnotic, neo jazz chord progressions.

A sonic experience explored through trap, drill, Afro-fusion, pop, rock and alternative.

Blues and folk fused with country, rock and pop complemented by exceptional vocals.

Dark pop with a retro 80s, 90s sound and electronic, dance, synth-type vibes.

Melodious alt-pop via unorthodox collaborations and a playful, patchwork writing style.
SOUND IN BLOOM
MAHENDRA
Specialises in playing a range of hand drums from around the globe. Created especially for Sound: In Bloom Manendra formed a new group
KOYESAX
A multi-genre solo artist and saxophonist. He is currently working on his debut EP ‘The Genesis’.
ROSSO
A duo who write and perform songs that bring freedom, truth and empower all who listen.

Rachel is a mixed media artist mostly working in textiles and the found object.
AFTERIMAGES by MADELEINE SNOWDON
Madeleine Snowdon is a West Midlands based interdisciplinary artist working through a variety of mediums.
LANDSCAPES OF MY MIND by MADDIE WEBB
Her work is primarily driven by the way she experiences the world visually, through the mental notes she has taken as she goes about her day to day.
THE LOST GARDEN by CAITRIONA DUNNETT
Dunnett has attempted to recreate her grandfather’s Victory Garden, which once grew on the banks of Loch Long in Scotland.
RE-IMAGINED PHOTOGRAPHS by JOOST LOHMAN
Lohman creates Re-imagined Photographs: Abstract works of art based on digital photographs by which he presents a new visual reality.

Aaron is a local photographer and all-round Coventry enthusiast. Born, educated and now working in Coventry.

Ana Jesus is a final year BA Fine Art and Illustration student at Coventry University.
