ACCESS COVENTRY

Equipping Artists to create more accessible events

Access Coventry is a series of online training events for artists, producers and the small scale independent arts sector.

The aim is to equip creatives with knowledge and strategies to more effectively provide for audiences with different access needs as we move into the City of Culture year and beyond.

Mid-Point

A space for Arts Council England’s core funded organisations and independent artists to share their visions, opportunities and collaborative ambitions.

Commissioned by: Belgrade Theatre

Supported by: Arts and Homelessness International, Culture Central, Culture Coventry, EGO Arts, Imagineer, Motionhouse, Nine Arches Press, RSC, the Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust, Warwick Arts Centre and Warwickshire Libraries

MID-POINT

Coventry and Warwickshire’s cultural sector has a thriving ambition for collaboration and collective thinking. Mid-Point brings together organisations who are funded as part of Arts Council England’s current Investment Programme and local independent artists for an exchange of plans, ideas and conversation at Belgrade Theatre’s B2 Space on Tuesday 18th July 2023.

Join us for a day of quick fire presentations by 11 NPOs* / IPSOs* who are registered in Coventry and Warwickshire and 11 local artists or small organisations with  essential visions and opportunities for the city. Find out the creative plans that are bursting out of this region over the next three years, and navigate which mid-points you might meet at to make some cultural magic in the area. Expect lots of opportunities to network, a chance to catch up with old friends (and new) as well as hot drinks and pastries.

All of the partners taking part in this event are funded by Arts Council England (ACE) as part of their three year investment programme (2023 - 20216). Of which you can find out more information here: https://bit.ly/445spsQ

*ACE - Arts Council England

*NPO - National Portfolio Organisation

*IPSO - Investment Principles Support Organisation

All supporting partners have contributed their time and some resources to pay for the artist presenter fees and access costs for attendees. Please see below for access considerations and get in contact with access@coventryshootfestival.com if your requirements are not currently met. We recommend getting in contact with us as soon as possible so that we can put plans in place to enable the richest possible experience for you.

We look forward to meeting you all at Coventry and Warwickshire’s Mid-Point.
